That this broadcast moment could even occur and that apparently the majority of a national public audience would casually and routinely accept it as modern broadcast integrity is astounding … and embarrassing.

The NBC reporter also expressed wonder at finding a prayer rug in the apartment. “Now, here’s something interesting,” he exclaimed. “A prayer rug . . . I don’t know if this has been moved, but this should be facing Mecca.”
Also on the NBC stream: rearranging pillows in a baby’s crib, looking through children’s books, and picking up checks and zooming in on them.
