It was utterly shameful. But acts like this aren’t too surprising, since many of the party’s new leadership have shown themselves to be personally cruel in the past.
… Here we have the leaders of Idaho’s dominant political party. It is not likely a party that many of Idaho’s best Republican lawmakers of recent years — people like Maxine Bell, Bart Davis, Brent Hill, Shawn Keough and the like — would recognize.
Curmudgeon at Work 
When I retired in 2010 I left Idaho for Eastern WA. largely due to the extremist politics there. Funny enough those days look almost normal when compared to the state of politics in Idaho these days. I loved Idaho and her natural resources, but I’ve always abhorred the politics and politicians there. I never looked back when I left and now avoid the state as much as possible. We have some brain dead politicians in Eastern WA at all levels of government, but even the deposed lunatic Matt Shea can’t hold a candle to the insanity in Idaho.
I agree. Seems like all I can do is write whining responses to the four congressmen’s tweets and mailings. I occasionally catch the governor in partisan BS but not as much as the fiur doofuses.
