Donald J. Trump’s most recent Apprentice Wannabes Desperately seeking attention
Marjorie Taylor Greene and Madison Cawthorn are talking like pageant entrants who fail to understand that they do not impress beyond the bounds of the limited-intelligence choir before whom they perform. Neither seem to even suspect that they do very little to light fires under the the genuine conservative citizenry and risk turning significant elements of that party block against the RNC itself.
Their beauty pageant intellects seem to have little sense of the impact of the inflammatory rhetoric their role models prompt them mouth. That they willingly and enthusiastically attempt to combine that tag-along whining coupled with junior-high style gossip that merely prompts images of children splashing around in a wading pool shouting “Look at me!!! Aren’t I darling??”
If they are thinking that over-the-top campaign speeches are standard fare because their party leadership has been successful more than once in doing so, they are either as politically naive as they appears or – and I suspect the greater reason is that they had very little constructive presentations regarding a civic understanding of our political systems.
Anyone pretending outrage at the implication that Taylor Greene and Cawthorn represent the ultimate childish wing of the Republican party is either equally civics-challenged or equally as stupid as the two preening twits.
Whether in photos and films doctored by the pros to look both appealing and intelligent, Taylor Greene and Cawthorn stand revealed herself as a shallow thinkers who appear to have spent most of their post-puberty lives making knee-jerk decisions based entirely on self-interest. Put such a person in the hands of consultants and image-mongers who themselves have little if any conscience and their own gullibility and world view from the shallow end of the pool only gets magnified.
Regardless of background and education, both these juvenile Republicans demonstrate small-town tavern personalities. Nothing wrong with small-town and rural personalities so long as within that environment and upbringing necessary skills like critical thinking and an ability to see both sides of an issue are taught or acquired.
Both seem to function in oblivious denial of the consequences of their own actions and too interested in self-promotion to worry about ethics.
